Why Dry Ice

The cleanest way to clean.

Dry ice blasting fires solid CO₂ pellets at the surface. They lift contaminants on impact, then sublimate straight to gas — leaving nothing behind but the dirt that was there.

01

No water

Nothing to trap moisture in seams, electronics, or bare metal — so no rust risk and no drying time.

02

No chemicals

No solvents or detergents. Safe around food-prep areas, sensitive components, and your crew.

03

Non-abrasive

Gentle on the original surface — paint, welds, seals, and machined parts stay intact.

04

Non-conductive

Safe to use around wiring and electrical systems, so engine bays can be cleaned in place.

05

No teardown

We clean components where they sit — no disassembly, less labour, faster turnaround.

06

No secondary waste

The CO₂ vanishes into the air. The only cleanup is the contaminant you wanted gone.

The Proof

Watch the transformation.

The result speaks louder than any pitch. CO₂ pellets lift years of buildup off the surface — in real time.

Meet the Founder

Jordan Driessen

Founder · Particle Restorations

Jordan has always been a fixer. A carpenter and commercial-construction builder by trade — and founder of the furniture brand Plush + Oak — he's the kind of person who can't leave something half-done. Dirt bikes, trucks, mowers, full interior renovations, his own automotive restorations: if it could be made better, he was already taking it apart.

The first time he saw dry ice blasting, he was blown away — he couldn't believe something so non-invasive could be so effective. He saw a market most people didn't even know existed, and started Particle to bring it to Edmonton, and to blow customers away the same way.

"Alberta is hard on the things you own. Dry ice blasting finally cleans them the way they deserve."

Born in Calgary and an Edmonton local since 2020 (go Oilers), Jordan grew up around cattle and dairy farms and lives on an acreage today. He knows firsthand what oil, grease, and winter road-salt do to vehicles and equipment — and why traditional cleaning never quite cut it.

Dry ice blasting in Edmonton & Sherwood Park

Particle is a mobile dry ice blasting and restoration service based in Sherwood Park, Alberta, serving Edmonton and the surrounding communities. Dry ice blasting (also called CO₂ blasting or dry ice cleaning) uses solid carbon-dioxide pellets to lift grease, carbon, oil, soot, and grime off a surface without water, chemicals, sand, or abrasive media — leaving the original material untouched.

Because the process is waterless and non-conductive, it's ideal for cleaning car and truck engine bays, classic and performance vehicle restorations, dirt bikes and powersports, wheels and undercarriages, and agricultural and fleet equipment across the Edmonton region.

Why owners across the Edmonton area choose dry ice

Traditional pressure washing and solvents force moisture into seams and electronics and can strip or dull original finishes. Dry ice blasting avoids all of that: no rust risk, no teardown, no secondary waste, and minimal downtime — the CO₂ simply sublimates into the air.

We also handle commercial dry ice cleaning for Edmonton-area restaurants and commercial kitchens, gyms and spas, plus home services like garages, BBQs, and ovens. From Sherwood Park, St. Albert, and Fort Saskatchewan to Leduc, Spruce Grove, Beaumont, and Stony Plain, we bring the equipment to you, with Alberta-wide service for larger bookings. FAQ

Dry ice blasting, answered.

Common questions about dry ice blasting and restoration in the Edmonton area.

What is dry ice blasting?
Dry ice blasting fires small pellets of solid CO₂ at a surface using compressed air. The pellets lift contaminants on impact and instantly turn from solid to gas (sublimation), so they carry grime away without water, chemicals, or abrasive grit. It restores engines, equipment, and surfaces to factory-clean condition with nothing left behind but the dirt that was removed.
Is dry ice blasting safe for my engine and electronics?
Yes. Dry ice is non-conductive and non-abrasive, and the process uses no water — so it's safe to clean engine bays, wiring, seals, paint, welds, and machined parts in place, without the rust or short-circuit risk that comes with pressure washing.
Does it use any water or chemicals?
No. Dry ice blasting is completely waterless and chemical-free. There's no detergent, solvent, or sand involved, and no soggy mess or chemical residue to clean up afterward — which is why it's well suited to food-prep areas and sensitive equipment.
What can you clean with dry ice blasting?
Vehicles and automotive (engine bays, undercarriages, wheels, classic and performance restorations, dirt bikes), agricultural and fleet equipment, commercial kitchens, restaurant hoods and ovens, gyms and spas, and home services like garages, BBQs, and ovens. If grime is built up where traditional cleaning can't safely reach, dry ice blasting can usually remove it.
Do you offer mobile dry ice blasting in Edmonton and Sherwood Park?
Yes — we're a mobile service based in Sherwood Park and come to you across Edmonton and surrounding communities including St. Albert, Fort Saskatchewan, Leduc, Spruce Grove, Beaumont, and Stony Plain. Alberta-wide service is available for larger bookings.
Is it safe for commercial kitchens?
Yes. Because there are no chemicals and no water, dry ice blasting is a food-safe way to deep-clean kitchen equipment, hoods, and ovens with minimal downtime and no teardown — so you can get back to service quickly.
How much does dry ice blasting cost?
Pricing depends on the size and condition of the job and how much buildup needs to be removed. Send a few photos and details through our quote form or call/text 780.394.4123 and we'll give you a straight answer on price and timing.
